Concept

Jalan Kuras was intended to be easy on the eyes, with a simple and modest look. To achieve this, we explored the themes of clean lines and openness, with a neutral palette of white and grey colours. A large and spacious car porch balcony sits out front, emphasizing the homeowner's philosophy of form follows function

Approach

The highlight of the house lies within, in its double volume living room, with a mezzanine pathway running along the walls. The unique layout minimizes heat entry by allowing the strong tropical sunlight to shine in at angles, transforming it into a pattern of light and shadows. This creates a bright and airy atmosphere effortlessly

Functionality

This house features a mezzanine floor overlooking the living room on the ground floor. In addition to key areas like kitchen, guest room, helper's room and powder room, 5 bedrooms were carved out, including a spacious master bedroom with a lounge area on the second storey
