Kings Road - TRACE | Design & Build

Concept

For King's Road, we were tasked to create a sanctuary thematic to a modern tropical resort. In order to achieve this, our design was predicated on a combination of wood, stone cladded feature walls and integrated landscaping. This resulted in a Modern Tropic design, with an openness between indoor and outdoor spaces

Approach

Slatted screens on the external facade provides shade in the day while allowing for natural passage of light. Externally, a swimming pool runs along the perimeter of the house, serving as a form of connection between areas. Muted tones are used internally to extend that sense of tranquility

Functionality

Incorporating a mezzanine floor resulted in a bright and airy double volume living room. Communal areas were integrated across the house, with defining spaces for entertainment, while maintaining private areas for individual needs at the same time
